Our journey began during an incredibly uncertain time in the world. It was 2020 — a year when life slowed down and everything felt a little unpredictable. As the world shut down due to the pandemic, something beautiful began to unfold. Amidst the chaos, we found each other.
We met online, like many modern love stories do. But this was no ordinary match. With the world shut down, our conversations became the highlight of long days spent apart. For six months, we got to know each other through countless texts, phone calls, and video chats — building something real before we even met in person.
When outdoor dining finally reopened, we had our very first date. It was simple, long-awaited, and absolutely perfect — a reminder that sometimes, the best things are worth waiting for.
After two years of living together, we moved to Folsom, California, and bought our first home — a blessing we’re deeply grateful for. Then, on Christmas Day 2024, surrounded by family and love, Eric proposed with what was thought to be a scavenger hunt that led Laura and her daughter Jaiela from clue to clue, ending in the backyard with a glowing “Will you marry me” sign — and a very easy yes.
Now, we’re stepping into this next chapter together — hand in hand, heart to heart — guided by God’s love and grace. We are deeply thankful for the many blessings He has poured into our lives, especially the gift of finding each other. Our wedding is more than a celebration of love — it’s a reflection of the faith, hope, and joy that have carried us through every season. As we begin our marriage, we do so with hearts full of gratitude, surrounded by the people who have supported and prayed for us along the way. We can’t wait to build a life rooted in love, laughter, and God’s purpose — and we’re so blessed to have you by our side as we say I do.
